TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Here are our terms and conditions for our cabin rental. You must agree with the following rules and regulations when making a reservation. Kotatieva Oy reserves the right to change cabin rates and these terms & conditions.

Services and Prices

The prices and the services offered and to be delivered by Kotatieva under these Terms & Conditions for Kotatieva Cabins. The given prices include VAT according to the Taxation Laws and Regulations of Finland.

Kotatieva reserves the right

To change the prices in case of any unforeseen increases in costs (including but not limited to taxes, fuel prices etc.) beyond the control of Kotatieva. 

To change the timetables or contents due to weather conditions or similar reasons.

Booking and confirmation

Reservation can be made in through our web shop.

A booking is confirmed when we have received the payment and you have received a booking reference to the e-mail address provided when making reservation. All bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until written confirmation has been provided by e-mail.

One baby cot can be delivered to cabin on request for children 0-2yrs, free of charge.

Please notice that only the amount of guests given in reservation is allowed to accomodate in the cabin, maximum is 5 persons and 1 child 0-2 yrs in baby cot.

Payment

The reservation is confirmed after making full payment for the reservation. We accept the most common credit/debit cards as well as payments via Apple Pay. You can pay any additional expenses you might have during your stay at the park with cash in euros or by card. We check your credit card details on arrival for any future charges.

Cancellation terms

All our Kotatieva Cabin Reservations are non-refundable.. Changing the date of the reservation is possible only if there is availability for the change.

Check-in and check-out

CHECK-IN can be made between 16.00 – 20:00 on the day of arrival. For later arrivals, please contact our customer service. Every person checking-in must have a valid ID to present.

CHECK-OUT time is 11.00 latest on the day of departure.

Responsibility of the service provider

The service provider conducts its operations in accordance with the relevant safety plans and health and safety standards in accordance with Finnish laws and regulations.

Kotatieva is not responsible for damage or disappearance of customer valuables or goods during your stay. We advice you to take good care of your belongings and never leave valuable items to your cabin.

Damage and insurances

The service provider can only be held liable for personal injury or damage to property caused by an accident caused by the production of the program / service as a result of a malfunction or defective device of the service provider or its personnel or subcontractor. The service provider is not liable for damages or injuries that are indemnifiable from the participant’s own travel insurance.

The person making the reservation is obliged to compensate in full for the damage caused to the cabin or its furniture. The person making the reservation is also responsible for any damage caused by minors or children including those done by accident.

Kotatieva has the right to charge the cost of caused damages from the customer before immediatly when damage is reported. Damage can be charged also afterwards after check-out, from customer credit card if damages are not reported before checking out.

We recommend that customers take out travel insurance for unforeseen situations.

Reclamations

Any complaints or notices about the reservation or the cabin should be expressed to the staff immediately after they arise to fix possible issues.

Force majeure and the Applicable law

Neither Party shall be held liable for any default, damage or loss due to a condition force majeure or to unreasonable impairment of the Party’s operations due to a similar cause (including but not limited to war, strike, weather, lack of snow, or other natural condition etc.). If encountered a force majeure condition, the Party shall immediately notify the other Party in writing thereof, and shall keep the other Party fully informed of the continuance of the force majeure condition and of any relevant change of circumstances whilst such force majeure continues. When encountered a force majeure conditions Parties shall also take all reasonable steps available to it to minimize the effects of the force majeure on the performance of their obligations under this contractual relationship.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the Finnish Law. The Finnish Courts shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute, controversy or claim related to such a demand. The District Court of Lapland (in Finnish: Lapin Käräjäoikeus), placed in Rovaniemi, shall be the court of first instance.

Kotatieva Oy FI3240644-3 (online shop) sells products to Finland and abroad. We reserve all rights to change the terms and conditions, and the prices. All prices include the VAT.
